ADJOURNMENT

Harold Thompson made a motion to adjourn.  Robert Pierson seconded the motion.  The motion passed unanimously.

RECONVENE THE MEETING

QUESTIONNAIRE FOR INPUT TO THE YEAR 2010 TOWN PLAN OF CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT

The Planning Commission discussed the memo  dated June 11, 2007 from Ellie Czarnowksi regarding the “Questionnaire for input to the 2010 Town Plan of Conservation and Development”.

Steve Ross made the suggestion that Chairman Thompson contact Ellie Czarnowski to clarify the respective roles of the Planning Commission and Conservation Commission in creating the 2010 Town Plan of Conservation and Development.   He noted that he personally feels that while we welcome their participation and input he feels that they have given the impression in this memo that they we will be writing the Plan of Conservation and Development.  Bob Pierson stated there is a paragraph in the memo that states “the questionnaire is designed to guide the writers of the 2010 Plan of Conservation and Development.”  Mr. Ross stated that this is why he used the phrase “gives that impression” instead of states.

Chairman Thompson agreed to contact Ellie Czarnowski.  Pierson suggested the survey be completed by 2009 and devote 2009 to 2010 to writing the new plan.

The meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Kim Groves
